FAQ about the Event

What is the event date?

The event is scheduled between July 10-12, 2026 in Sittard-Geleen, Netherlands.

Who can participate and how to register in the components of the event?
  • Anyone aged 16 or older with a recumbent bicycle can register for the race here.
  • If you are 15 years of age or younger, you can register here for the kids’ races on Saturday and/or Sunday. Depending on the number of registrations, we may divide the children’s races into categories. Exceptions may be made for young people under the age of sixteen who already have considerable experience to participate in the adult races.
  • Even if you are not participating in the races, but would like to join us for lunch and/or the pasta meals at the Tom Dumoulin Bike Park, you can register here.
  • To participate in the three-country tour, you can register here
  • If you would like a place at the 2nd chance recumbent bike fair, please register for Saturday and/or Sunday.

Accommodation options (until 15 March):

  • If you would like a single room at the Sportshostel on Watersley, you can book here.
  • If you would like to rent a team house at Watersley with your team, please let us know by email: wc2026hpv@proton.me.

Can I camp on and around the event site?

No, that is not possible! You can park a camper van on the car park of the Tom Dumoulink Bike Park during the day, but overnight stays are not permitted. We have options at two campsites in the immediate vicinity until 15 March. You can book directly with them, quoting “HPV World Championships”. See .

Are participants in the events insured?

No, participation in all parts of the event is at your own risk. Check your own insurance policies.

What about the privacy of the participants?

Participants in all parts of the event may be photographed and filmed. The images may be distributed on publicly accessible media. The names and results of participants in the races will be published.
